Johnny Vicious
JOHNNY VICIOUS
(USA)Whether he's wreaking havoc in the DJ booth or in the studio for superstars like Madonna, Johnny Vicious has made an indelible mark on the world's dance floors and is regarded as a turntable phenomenon as well as an invincible producer and remixer. He is without question lauded internationally as one of dance music's brightest stars. The particular style that he has perfected over the years has propelled him into a class of his own.Prior to achieving worldwide notoriety Johnny's roots date back to New Jersey where he was born and raised. As a child he initially favoured Rock music but began toying with a pair of turntables and became instantly enamored with dance music's sinuous energy. “One minute I was into Motley Crue and the next I was listening to Tony Humphries’ mix show on Kiss-FM. I started DJing in my friend's basement, and I didn't know what I was doing. It sounded like trains crashing.” Johnny's mixing skills quickly improved and in 1989 he earned a slot spinning at Manhattan’s famed Palladium nightclub; his first Big Apple show DJing with the legend Larry Levan live on Hot 97. From then on he never looked back. Appearances at the most legendary clubs in N.Y.C. like Red Zone, Palladium, and Sound Factory followed, andJohnny parlayed these gigs into a residency at the world renowned Roxy. Soon after, Johnny collaborated with Jeffery Rodman and created Vicious Music releasing his seminal Liquid Bass EP, showcasing his mange of beats and samples that established him as one of the most promising rising artists in dance music and put him on the map worldwide. Phone calls and faxes rolled and he found himself spinning at the worlds best clubs from Europe to Japan to Australia.Johnny Vicious is adamant about one thing– it’s his forward-looking visionof dance music, which rails against stagnation and thrives on pushing the envelope. His relentless production touch has been felt by pop notables such as Madonna, Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Natasha Bedingfield, Shakira, Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Akon, 36 Mafia, Justin Timberlake, KatDeluna, The Veronica's, The Ting Tings, Ashlee Tisdale, Veronica, ByronStingley, Lula, Brain Bug, IIo, React, Duncan Sheik, Chicane, Amber, Filter,Simply Red, Aretha Franklin, Deborah Cox, Jimmy Sommerville and Kristine W. As well as underground legends such as Candido, First Choice, Loleatta Holloway, Karen Finley and Shades of Love. His unique combination of house, trance and eclectic vocals provided a recipe for success producing chart-topping hits such as “Ecstasy” Featuring Lula, and “Moments” Featuring Myndy K. This contributed to him securing his own mix show on New York City’s biggest radio dance station W.K.T.U. where he was heard breaking his newest remix and productions on Saturday Nights. That soon led him to residencies at Sound Factory, Tunnel, and Exit from which he started one of the most successful parties in NYC on Friday nights “Sexy at the Roxy.”Johnny Vicious Remixes:Madonna - Maverick/ Warner RecordsCelebrationMiles AwayWhitney Houston Arista Records"Its Not Rigtht But Its OkBeyonce Sony/ Columbia RecordsEgoShakira Sony BMG"Illegal"Brian McKnight Universal Motown"Back At One"Ashley Tisdale Warner RecordsAlright OkJennifer Hudson Arista RecordsSpotlightNatasha Bedingfield Sony/EpicPocket Full Of SunshineUnwrittenLove Like ThisMichael Jackson feat. Amadeus
AMADEUS
(USA)DJ Amadeus is one of the fastest growing names on the international DJ and production circuit. It is through a combination of hard work, perseverance, skill and the adulation of his fans that Amadeus is creating the classic American tale and storming up the world DJ chart.Hailing from the Ukraine, Amadeus immigrated to America in 1989, and he came of age during New York Citys golden age of clubbing in the 90s. Coming from a musical family, his odyssey began by learning to play piano at the age of five and studying classical music. When his friends took him clubbing for the first time in 1994, he had what he describes as his first a-ha moment. Already a lover of a plethora of musical styles, he soon started DJing and has quickly become one of the hottest up-and-coming DJ/producers on the international circuit. Amadeus entered DJ Magazines prestigious Top 100 poll at 97 in 2005, then rocketed up to 24 in 2006. My first mega club was Tunnel in 1998, Amadeus recalls. It was the biggest club in New York City at that time. I was speechless watching Danny Tenaglia play, then I got a gig DJing in the mezzanine. Amadeus later brought his big-room sound to other Big Apple institutions such as Limelight, and Webster Hall. He secured a residency at Imagine Fridays at Club Exit, which was one of the hottest parties in the city at the time. As he built a loyal fanbase of clubbers and promoters playing weekly for 5,000 dance-music fanatics, Amadeus turned his attention to producing tracks with a partner and scored a club hit in the form "The Arrival," a song that became an anthem of Sound Factory. He continued to build on the momentum with a solo project and released another banger, "Let's Bounce," which became an anthem at Club Exit.In addition to touring, Amadeus is readying a full-on assault of his productions. The first is Something You Know, a massive vocal record produced with partner Benny Maze, featuring vocals by Leo on Gray Home Recordings with remixes by Richard Grey and Dean Coleman. He also has a remix package coming out soon on Eyezcream Recordings for his previous release, "Don't Let Your Fears." He has five singles in the works and spends most of his time in the studio or on the road. With a big residency in the biggest club in NYC, M2 Ultralounge (formerly known as Mansion/Crobar) and sister venue Club Pink (formerly known as Pink Elephant), Amadeus regularly tours in the U.S., Canada, Asia, Europe, and Middle East. Nero
(NYC)From humble beginnings as a 15 year old spinning for college frat houses in New Jersey to performing his own brand of electrifying, spine tingling productions and remixes, Anthony Nero has rocketed to the top of the DJ world. After 13 years behind the decks he continues to create dance floor history performing for packed crowds of 5,000 or more all over the USA and around the world as a headlining DJ and promoter of his own monthly parties “Nerotic“ and “Lost and Found”.In New York City he has main floor residency and headlining appearances in just about every single Superclub including Limelight, Roxy, Sound Factory and 5 years at the legendary Tunnel. By 2002 Anthony was headlining at Club Exit, the biggest club in the USA, playing his famous 8 hour plus marathon sets, taking the masses on a journey every Saturday night after which world famous DJ Junior Vasquez would split the night going on after him at 6 am. With the success of this Saturday night party, Club Exit gave Anthony his own Friday night and the rest is history. In 2005 he started his own promotion company Nerotic Entertainment and in 2009 he started a monthly residency at Pacha NYC, voted the #1 Superclub (2007, 2008, 2009) three years in a row by Club World Awards. The success of his “Nerotic Parties” at Pacha, Webster Hall and China Club led him to start the “Lost & Found” parties with fellow Tunnel DJ YentalBeats. 2009 also saw Anthony expand his Neurotic parties overseas with killer performances at Bed Supperclub in Bangkok and Stereolab in Phuket.Anthony has been voted multiple times by “Time Out” magazine as one of New York’s Top 5 DJs and he won the New York DMC World Award as the “youngest DJ” to do house mixes. Anthony's favorite gigs are residencies where he packs the room with wall to wall partiers going nuts from the raw energy of his music and mixes that pushes them over the top– hour after hour. “The more I move the crowd the more they move me.
